How to add a hashtag?

You might think it is very difficult to add a hashtag to your post. However, adding a hashtag to your post is as easy as search a hashtag.

You can create a hashtag just by inserting a keyword right after “# (hash mark)”. In other words, if you are posting about love, just enter “#love” and post. Hashtags can be placed at the beginning, middle, or end of a sentence.

Besides, here are some things you have to pay attention to.

The first thing is that do not forget to leave a space before and after “#something” if you want to add multiple hashtags. Please note that if there is no space before and after, it will not be recognized as a hashtag.

The second thing you have to pay attention to is that there are 3 types of “#” in Japan. “♯(pound key is also called sharp in Japan)”, “＃(full-width)”, and “#(half-width)”. Please note that only the “#(half-width)” can be recognized as hashtags.

The third thing is that a hashtag can not only contain a number or numbers. Make sure to enter characters before or after numbers. For example, #2121 can not be a hashtag while #2121abc and #abc2121 can be a hashtag.
