Placement of Google Display Campaign
If you want to show your ad on YouTube or the Google Display Network, add it as a placement to your ad group. This type of site can be a placement related to your product or service, or it can be an online destination page that your customers will visit.
*According to Google’s policy, it doesn’t allow you to target placements that promote hatred, intolerance, discrimination, or violence towards an individual or group.
How to Add placements?
- Sign in your Google Ads account.
- Select Display campaigns.
- Select the campaign you want to edit, and then select your ad group.
- Click Placements in the page menu.
- Click the pencil icon to edit placements.
- Choose the targeting type for your placements.
- Targeting (recommended): Limit the reach of the ad group to the selected audience..
- Observation: No limit.
- Select the placement type in the box that appears. Note that some placement types require you to search by word, phrase, URL, or video ID before you can add the placement type to your ad group:
- Websites: Place your ads on specific websites. Requires a search in the placement box.
- YouTube channels: Place your ads on specific YouTube Channels. Requires a search in the placement box.
- YouTube videos: Place your ads on specific YouTube videos. Requires a search in the placement box.
- Apps: Place your ads in specific apps. Requires a search in the placement box.
- App categories: Show your ads in specific apps in a category (e.g. “Cars”). Eligible app stores include Apple App Store and Google Play. If you choose this placement type, you don’t need to use search fields to limit search results.
- Click the checkbox next to the placement you want to target..
- (Optional) To enter multiple placements, click Enter multiple placements at the bottom of the box and enter the placement URL. Then click Add placement.
- Finally, click to save.
