Google Search Network

Google Search Network is a general term for various search-related websites and apps. Advertising on the Google Search Network allows you to see your ads are shown on a search result page when users search for keywords related to your ads. Search ads are displayed on Google’s search result page, Google Maps, and sites of search partners.

3 Types of ads posted on the search network:

・Text ads, dynamic search ads, and call-only ads

・Shopping ads

・Image and video ads

Text ads

Text ads only appear at the top and bottom of the Google search result page.

Text ads have the following structure in order from the top of the ad.

  1. URL
  2. Heading
  3. Advertising text

“URL” is the address that is displayed when the user clicks on the ad.

You can create up to 3 ad texts for the “heading”, with full-width 15characters or 30 half-width characters.

“Advertisement text” can be created up to 45 full-width characters or 90 half-width characters.

Shopping ads

Shopping ads show products for sale and links to those products. Search results pages are labeled as “sponsored” or “advertised”, and search partner sites are sometimes labeled as “Ads by Google”.

Image and video ads

Image and video ads may be provided by search partners.
