The major media in Japan for listing ads are “Google” and “Yahoo!”.

What is Yahoo! Ad?
There are two types of Yahoo! ads: listing ads and display ads.
Yahoo! listing ads are a function that displays ads linked to keywords on the Yahoo! search result pages. On the other hand, display ads are ads that use “videos” and “banners” that are displayed on various pages of Yahoo! partners.
Difference in targeting
Listing ads have the ability to select the target of your ad placement, but Google Ads and Yahoo! Ads have different targeting settings.
For example, in Google listing ads, you can set “whether or not you have children”, but in Yahoo !, there is no target item.
Also, in Google’s listing advertisement, it is possible to specify not only the municipality but also the “radius”.
The difference in the delivery destination
In the case of Google Ads, Google search results and Google affiliated sites( for example, the following 3 sites ) are the delivery destinations.

- goo
On the other hand, Yahoo! advertisements will be delivered to Yahoo! JAPAN search results and their affiliated sites.
In the case of display ads, they will also be delivered to Yahoo! News and Yahoo! Answers.
